Truth Rocks Challenge

Rocks? Spreading the gospel? Yes!

During the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders this past spring, your YD family started a fun new outreach: Truth Rocks!

It all started when we found a beautiful painted rock under a park bench. On the bottom of the rock it had a Facebook group you could post a photo of the rock to and the words KEEP/HIDE. We got the idea we could collect river rocks, paint them with pictures, encouraging words, and Bible verses, and then hide them in local parks for others to find and enjoy. One fun aspect about rock painting is that it doesn’t matter your creative skill level. Everyone can do it! 

Here are the supplies you will need:

1.       Rocks - Smooth is the most ideal. Any shape will do!
2.       Acrylic paint – So many options! Matte, satin, glossy, metallic, glitter, the list goes on. 
3.       Brushes – Be sure you have at least one fine detail brush.
4.       Dot art tools (optional) – like this
5.       Outdoor, waterproof clear sealer – something like this

If you'd like to find supplies in store, Walmart, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby have the supplies you will need. 

If you want to order supplies online, amazon.com, michaels.com, and walmart.com also have several good options.
